Dear other Americans

Granted, I was in Canadia when NYC was attacked. Therefore I was not around when "God Bless America" was first sung at a ballpark instead of (or perhaps just before) "Take Me Out to the Ballgame". But am I the only person who wishes that this new "tradition" would just stay part of the Philadephia Flyers' real tradition and not be a part of my baseball tradition? Because although I am a huge fan of Irving Berlin, and sang "God Bless America" with gusto every night I closed down my favourite gay piano bar, I really want my seventh inning stretch to be religion free.

Yeah, smite me now.
